✨ This Weekend in Muskoka: Indigenous-Led Winter Experiences ✨
Step into the forest and under the stars with Emily Porter, an Indigenous Naturalist from Six Nations, during two meaningful guided experiences taking place this weekend (Jan 10) at White Pine Lodge in Dwight.
🌲 Clan Walk
🗓 Jan 10 | 1 PM
A peaceful daytime winter walk to a private section of the historic Oxtongue River. Emily shares teachings and stories of the clan animals from the Haudenosaunee and Algonquin-Anishinaabeg nations, their responsibilities, guidance, and lessons—ending with a traditional smudge ceremony for reflection and grounding.
✨ Star Stories & Smudging
🗓 Jan 10 | 5 PM
As night falls, slow down and connect with the land on a guided walk beneath the winter stars. Hear traditional star stories passed down through generations and close the evening with a smudge ceremony by the river.
Both experiences are part of Frosted Winter Adventures – Guided Experiences Across Muskoka, a curated collection of expert-led winter programs happening at unique locations across the region. Each adventure runs 1.5–2 hours and offers a deeper connection to Muskoka’s landscapes, stories, and seasons.
